iLumaPhotonics, a leadinginnovator, designer and manufacturer of fiber lasers will unveil our 500 ps pulse fiber laser in the CIOE 2013 (Shenzhen China) from 4th to 7th Sept 2013 ,thisnew product will be available in Q4 2013.
Pulse fiber lasers in nano-second regime have become widely accepted in industrial applications especially in micro-processing market conditions due to their good beam quality, small footprint and energy efficiency leading to lower operating costs whilst still offering improved processing, reductions in cycle time and increase product yield. Meanwhile, the potential pulsed laser system in the range of 10ps to 100ps pulse duration has been widely investigated and the sub-100ps lasers are available in the market for material processing, such as cold ablation and processing, etc., but the cost of the laser system is quite high which has limited it's application in even wider area. The gap between 10ns and 500ps regime is attracted more and more attention recently in industries due to its balance between performance and cost, this gap needs to be harnessed (see picture 1), the potential of laser system in this regime needs to be accessed and developed. the experiments have shown that the laser systems in this regime give better results than ns pulse laser in term of surface quality (such as black marking of anodized Al and PE plastic) and process efficiencies, and give an acceptable quality compared with it done by the sub-100ps laser, but with far less owning cost.
This newly launch 500 ps pulse fiber laser (iLuma Product Code IFL-20P-LM-P, see picture 2) will shortened the pulse duration of our exisiting products down to 500ps. It aims to provide our customers a new pulse regime with durations between 500 ps – 10 ns and will enrich iLuma's product portfolio covering pulse durations from ns to ps. To the best of our knowledge, we believe that this is the first time such a product has been introduce to the industry.
This product provides optimsed peak output powers across all pulse durations with maximum peak powers in excess of 35kW (at 500 ps, see picture 3). And gives a flat 12-15kW peak power output across 1 – 10ns pulse durations (see picture 4). It also provides pulse energies in excess of 100 uJ and repetition frequencies from a single shot to 1 MHz. Additionally, itsaverage output power flucuation over its operating temperature range of 12ºC – 55 ºC is only < 5% and its power stability is < 1% at constant operating temperature.
iLuma Photonics beleives that the 500ps pulse laser can fit this gap and become the attratcive tool for the applications such as ITO film removal, silver nano-wire patterning, hold drilling and black marking of anodized Al and PE plastics, etc.,
